Currencies

Create the currencies that power your game's economy. Each currency has its own icon, starting balance, optional cap, and passive generation rate. Use as many as your design requires.

01 Name & Display

Each currency has a name, an icon, and a display order. The icon is a Roblox asset URL configured in the Studio plugin. The display order controls where the currency appears in the player's HUD.

Gold with a coin icon at position 1, Gems with a diamond icon at position 2, Reputation with a star icon at position 3.

Available options
  • NameThe currency name shown to players.
  • IconRoblox asset URL for the currency icon, configured in the Studio plugin.
  • Display orderPosition in the HUD. Lower numbers appear first.
02 Starting Amount & Cap

Define how much currency every new player receives and set an optional maximum cap. When a cap is set, the currency can never exceed that value regardless of how it is earned.

Players start with 100 gold, capped at 99,999. Gems start at 0 with no cap. Event tokens start at 0, capped at 500 to limit hoarding.

Available options
  • Starting amountBalance given to every new player on first join.
  • Maximum amountHard cap on this currency. Leave empty for no limit.
03 Passive Income

Set an hourly passive generation rate. Players earn this currency automatically while they are in the game, with no action required. Passive income is a strong incentive for returning players.

Gold generates at 60 per hour for all players. Energy regenerates at 10 per hour so players always have some to spend.

Available options
  • Passive rate per hourAmount generated automatically every hour. Leave empty for no passive income.
